Changing Business Culture to Embrace People

On July 13, 2010, a (Google) group primarily consisting of Social CRM Pioneers (which was organized by Jeremiah Owyang and Ray Wang), had their first global meetup in New York City, Washington DC, and Santa Clara via Cisco Telepresence Centers. This particular event was produced by Tatyana Kanzaveli, who has worked wonders for SCRM and other business topics in "meetup" formats. Esteban Kolsky moderated the panel discussion.

As in a “world café”, each of the participants expressed what they hoped could be accomplished in this first meeting. The desire to collectively define the purpose of SCRM emerged ahead of other concerns by a wide margin. Looking at the responses, comments, interactions, and influences, one highlight emerged over all others as being the most resonant to the purpose of the meeting.
