Cheers to Good Video - A Tale of Two Winemakers

Cheers to First Press Productions for creating a strong emotional connection to the St. Supéry Dollarhide Ranch and Vineyard for wine enthusiasts. In less than 10 minutes, the embedded short gives the virtual visitor a palpable sense of what they would experience in the “first life” at Dollarhide Ranch, how much thoughtful loving care goes into the St. Supéry vineyard and winemaking, and why a stronger bond with this brand makes sense.

All wineries should sit up, take notice, and act on the value of producing this type of work, and integrating it into the rest of their media. Will you be at any of the following:

  1. “Cheers to Taste” 7/7/'10 at Rutherford Hill Winery?
  2. Napa Bubbleup 7/14/'10?
  3. Friday night 7/16/'10 in the Healdsburg winemakers monthly tête-à-tête (Sonoma FB Wine meetup at Michel Schlumberger)?
  4. Saturday night 7/17/'10 fundraiser/raffle/wine tasting/dinner Napa Valley Tweetup at the Flora Springs Tasting Room to benefit Napa Valley Education Foundation?

Let’s hug it out and recognize the wine vloggers already making weekly diaries in the smaller vineyards and wineries. Here’s a good example from Jordan Winery in Healdsburg.

The practical lesson is that you don’t have to have the biggest production budget to get started and benefit from well-marketed results. Jordan makes their diary inexpensively. All you really have to do is to stop making excuses about taking on incremental efforts during the high season. Look at me. I can come cheap, or "put the dog on it" if you need high production values.
